Around 1500 hours Engine Company 29 was alerted for the report of a building fire in the 3300 block of Curtis Dr. Engine Company 29 arrived on the scene of a 3 story garden style apartment building with smoke showing. The crew advanced a 400 foot attack line to the fire in the apartment and made quick knock of the bulk of the fire but due to the construction of the building it had common pipe chases and void spots causing the fire to travel. Due to this it took the units awhile to open the walls up and find the fire that had traveled in the walls. Once this was completed units were cleared shortly after.
